Types of Online Investors
In Nigeria when it comes to the topic of doing business online, there are 4 types of Investors. Due to the massive wave of fraud on the internet, most internet users have adopted some characteristics that reflect how they see the internet.
So, here’s my list of “Types of Online Investors”.
#1
Magic Hunters
These investors are the irrational risk-takers. They believe the internet is a money multiplication tool. Anything they see on the internet must be legit. These are the people that will fall for “Bring 2k and make 50k in 20 minutes” scams.
#2
Unbelievers
These investors are the masters of scepticism and pessimism. To them, anything online is fraudulent. They have never used their ATM Cards online before and will never do. If you make money online they may see you as a potential Yahoo Boy or Yahoo Girl.
Caution: If you want to do physical business with them, never say that you also run the same business online. If you do, you may never hear from them again.
#3
Indecisive Investors
These ones do not really know what’s legit or fake online. They want to try it but don’t want to try it. If someone they trust is able to convince them beyond every reasonable doubt that a particular website is legit, they may definitely try it out.
#4
Neutral Investors
They are the “Oga Kpata Kpata of them all”.
These ones can work for CIA, FBI and EFCC. They understand the nitty-gritty of doing business online. They don’t just believe anything they see or hear until it has been properly verified. They know a fraudulent website the moment they see one. They also love to invest online because they enjoy the ease that comes with it.
Neutral investors live in Nigeria.
Now, the big question is; what type of online investor are you?
